On Apirl 22nd, 2016, Professor Hu Jian, editor-in-cheif of the Journal of Social Sciences, visited CCS to deliver a lecture on How to Write and Submit a Reseach Paper. The lecture was hosted by Professor Xiaosong Tang, the CCS Director. All the CCS staff members and students attended the event.

   Professor Hu made a thorough analysis of the academic writing process, including choice of subject matter, literature review, analysis, correction process and writing a conclusion. When it comes to submitting a research paper, Professor Hu explained the reviewing process of academic journals, while emphasizing the importance of academic morality.    

After the lecture, Professor Hu answered a series of questions asked by students and researchers attending the lecture. A volume of the Blue Book of Canada(Annual Report on the Development of Canada, 2015) was given to Professor Hu by Professor Xiaosong Tang on behalf of CCS.
