Nov. 16th, 2015 -On November 13th, 2015, Professor Wang Jianwei, Director of the Department

of Government and Public Administration at the University of Macau, visited CCS to deliver a

lecture on recent developments in Sino-US relations. The lecture was hosted by Professor

Professor Wang Jianwei made a comprehensive and thorough analysis of current

developments in Sino-USrelations,focusing on a series of issues including a new framework

for Sino-US relations, new characteristics in Chinese and American foreign policies, regional

competition and global cooperation, as well as China's new approaches in handling its

relationships with the United States. He concluded that despite some setbacks and uncertainties,

the relationship between China and the United States would remain cooperative on a global

scale, though strategic competition has become a new trend in regional affairs.

and researchers attending the lecture. Productive and enthusiastic discussions were conducted

on various issues of importance, such as the effect of domestic policy on international

relationships, and the Belt and Road initiative. Two volumes of the Blue Book of Canada
