Oct 9,2014 – After an election by all members of ACSC, Tang Xiaosong was appointed asvice president of ACSC.
Tang Xiaosong, Executive Deputy Director of CCS, is a standing director of the Schoolof International Studies. His research mainly focuses on International Relations, especially Sino-America Relations.
Tang earned his bachelor and master degrees at Hunan Normal University. Before getting his doctor degree from the School of International Relations and Public Affairsat Fudan University, he had been working as a foreign affairs translator for several years. In 2007 and 2008, he studied at Harvard University as a visiting scholar. He has published more than 80 academic papers on domestic and foreign journals, like Australian Journal of International Affairs, WorldEconomics and Politics, Contemporary International Relations, China International Studies, etc. He holds several other academic or social positions such as Executive Director of International Politics Studies Association of National Universities; Senior Researcher of Chahar Society; Scholarly Editor for Public Diplomacy Quarterly;Chief Researcher in Guangdong Research Institute for International Strategies;Director of American Studies Center; Executive Associate Editor for Journal of Strategy & Decision-Making; Member of Guangdong Public Diplomacy Association; Researcher in Oceania Studies Center in Sun Yat-Sen University.
Professor Li Wei, a scholar from the History and Culture College at Shandong University,was elected as the new president of ACSC.
